The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) will be a group of diverse citizens of the Port Clinton City School District. It will be designed to include 12 appointed members serving staggered terms of 3 years, 2 years or 1 year. The Board of Education, Superintendent of Schools, and Director of Staff, Student and Community Development will select three core members of the CAC who will assist with the selection of other applicants from the community, parents and staff.
 
The CAC will meet up to 4 times per year (October – June). Meetings will be scheduled by the core team. Project sub-committees may meet several times per year outside of the regularly scheduled CAC meetings, depending on the scope and time requirements of a particular projects.
 
Membership Process
Membership Applications are accepted each year. Members must be residents of the school district with the exception of parents of open enrolled students. The aforementioned nominating committee of the CAC recommends candidates to the Board of Education for approval.
