Dennis attended Capital University and graduated in 1963. After graduating from Capital, Dennis spent four years at Trinity Seminary in Columbus and became a Lutheran Minister. He spent three years in Eagle Lake, Texas; four years in Houston, Texas; and 30 years at Christ Lutheran in Massillon, Ohio. During his stay in Massillon Denny served his community well as: Chaplain of the Massillon Jackson High School Football Team; Chaplain for the Massillon Community Hospital; Volunteer Quarterback Coach for Massillon Jackson High School; and Volunteer Quarterback Coach for Canton South High School.
