COMMUNITY SERVICE
to the Athletic Department of Port Clinton High School

The efforts of this outstanding couple contributed greatly to
our athletic programs for over 50 years.

They promoted athletics in general and encouraged generations
of young people in our community to get involved in sports.

They always wanted the best for our kids and coaches and gave
willingly of their time as volunteers. For nearly 50 years they
owned and operated the local sporting goods store where
athletics and coaches were greeted as friends. They provided
generous terms when making new uniforms and equipment
available to our athletic program and will be remembered for it.

"50 years of non-stop energy supporting our schools,
athletics and kids."

For five decades, Bill and Fannie Mack have been closely involved with Port Clinton High School. Their downtown store, Lake Erie Sports, was a gathering place for coaches, students and fans. It was the place where the kids bought their first ball glove or first pair of ice skates. Bill or Fannie made sure that each purchase was a special event. The Macks established the Scholar-Athlete Award; they were co-chairman for a successful School Bond Issue and they are life-time members of the Port Clinton Athletic Boosters. As local residents, retired from sporting goods business, Bill and Frannie Mack continue to be active and loyal supporters of Port Clinton athletics.
