FOOTBALL Team Captain 1942 Rushed for 27 Touchdowns and scored 163 Points, Second Highest Point Total in the State that Year. Both were School Records. Other School Records: Most Rushing Touchdowns in one Game- 4 Most Career Rushing Touchdowns- 32
BASKETBALL Captain of the 1942/43 District Championship Team and named First Team All District.
Chuck Gill as an outstanding athletic and was highly regarded by his teammates for his leadership qualities. He was named Captain for both the Football and Basketball teams in his senior year. During the 1942 Football Season, he rushed for 27 touchdowns and scored 163 points. After graduation in 1943, he enlisted and was called into the Naval Aviation Force, where he served 27 months in the Pacific Theater. Upon his return he attended Baldwin-Wallace College for two years and moved on to Devry Tech in Chicago, where he earned his Electrical Engineering Degree. After a 1-year stint in Plymouth, Indiana, he moved on to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he spent his entire career in the electronics industry before retiring after 35 years.
