After graduating from College in 1937, Archie Rader started out as a teacher and coach in Sylvania, Ohio, teaching industrial arts. He than moved on to Timkin High School in Canton, Ohio to continue in the teaching profession for many years until his retirement in 1972. During his career, Archie touched many lives with his outgoing personality. Archie always enjoyed being with young people and, after retirement, he became the best-loved babysitter at an indoor tennis club, tending to the needs of as many as 50 tots, while their mothers enjoyed playing tennis. In 1978, Archie and his wife, Dolores, his high school sweetheart, whom he married in 1932, moved to Mesa, Arizona where they spent the rest of their lives. Archie died in 1994 at age 87.
