PCHS COACHING CAREER Served as Athletic Director and was Assistant Coach in Football, Basketball and Track Assistant Football Coach for over 20 years
After graduating from High School as valedictorian, Dick Bloom served in the U.S. Navy until 1946. He attended The Ohio State University for one year, transferred to Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He taught art and coached at Port Clinton High School for nearly thirty years, starting in 1950. He took a one-year leave of absence to earn a Master of Arts degree at Arizona State University in 1967 and retired from teaching in 1979.
