Champions for Children
Champions for Children is a licensed after school program designed by Port Clinton Schools for our District’s children in grades kindergarten through six. These self-supporting programs provide a casual, instructional atmosphere where individual interests and needs are the primary focus. Participants enrolled in the Champions programs may choose from a wide range of activities including sports, arts and crafts, games, educational materials, and technology. A special time is set aside for homework. Each day, a healthy snack is provided. Enrichment activities and classes, such as jujitsu, self-esteem, computer, sign language, calligraphy, and yoga, are offered at no extra charge.
 
Enrollment
To enroll in Champions for Children, all children must register.  Registration materials are available in the office of each elemnetary school and program sites.  A visit to a Champions for Children site by both the parent and child is recommended.  Call the site to make an appointment ot observe Chaampions for Children or to have any additional qeustions answered.

Champions for Children is a child care provider for the Department of Job & Family Services.
 
Programs
Champions for Children offers after school programs for children district-wide in kindergarten through grade six.  Champions for Children has sites at both Bataan Memorial and Jefferson Elementary Schools.
 
Schedules
Full time students may attend Monday-Friday (when school is in sesssion) from 2:30pm to 6:00pm.
 
Part time students may attend three days per week (same days each week)from 2:30 to 6:00 pm.
 
Champions for Children also offers Summer Enrichment Camps to provide working families quality child care during the summer months.

Champions for Children is a self-supported, afterschool enrichment program available through the Port Clinton City School District and receives funding for scholarship from the United Way.
