Alumni Band September 17, 2010! Hey Band! Even though there is no Alumni Gathering this year, Mr. Rod Miller would like to invite PC Band Alumni back to march with the PCHS Band on September 17 during halftime of the football game. Alumni will also be able to tour the new band room, "The Earl E. Warnke Music Center". Click here for complete details! New Band Room Named in Memory of PCHS Band Director Earl E. Warnke Port Clinton High School Band members, now and in the future, will continue to benefit from the influence long-time band director Earl E. Warnke had on music in the school district and community. His daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Hal Hawk, recently donated $50,000 for the new PCHS Band Room to be named in memory of Earl E. Warnke. Please contact Jan Gluth at 419.732.2102 or jgluth@pccsd.net Margaret Phillips Inducted in PCHS Academic Hall of Fame The Port Clinton Academic Boosters honored retired Port Clinton City School District educator, Margaret Phillips, by inducting her into the Academic Hall of Fame on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Miss Phillips joined an elite group of Port Clinton High School alumni recognized for their outstanding academic achievement. 2009-10 Redskin Basketball - State Runner Up! Special congratulations to our new State Champion - Mackenzie Stewart State Swim Results Congratulations to PCHS State Swim Champion Mackenzie Stewart in the 200 IM with a time of 205.94. All 13 state qualifiers proudly represented PCHS at the state swim meet in Canton. The lucky 13 swimmers made school history at the State Swimming and Diving Championships. The girl’s team finished 9th out of 54 teams, and the boys finished 39th out of 60 teams. Allie Reynolds set a school record leading off the 200 free relay and finished 11th in the 100 free and 8th in the 200 free. The 400 free relay team of Ashey Zoeller, Allie Reynolds, Mackenzie Stewart, and Erin Smith finished 7th; the 200 free relay team of Michelle Hablitzel, Erin Smith, Allie Reynolds, and Ashley Zoeller finished 17th; the medley relay team of Nikki Twarek, Mackenzie Stewart, Katelyn Zam, and Erin Smith finished 13th. Mackenzie Stewart was 3rd in the 100 breaststroke and state champion in the 200 IM. • On the boys side Josh Scott was 24th in the 100 Free and Dan Stewart was 20th in the 100 Breaststroke. The medley relay team of Michael Long, Josh Scott, David Allen, and Dan Stewart finished 11th; the 200 free relay of Josh Scott, Dan Stewart, Michael Long, and AJ Bossiounealt finished 18th; and the 400 free relay of Josh Scott, Micheal Long, David Allen and Christian Raff finished 16th.
